As I am laying out my dream vegetable garden all over the place, I am finding that I am forgetting what I just planting... I blame it on the mommy brain. Anyways, I love this idea of re-purposing old spoons for the garden cause.

Delicious Grapefruit
Look at this tasty grapefruit recipe over at Joy the Baker. It seems so simple and clean, yet also indulgent. I will be adding grapefruits to the grocery list this week in order to try this idea out.
Stroller envy
I have a wicked case of stroller envy. I want one of these BOB strollers so badly. The one that we have now gets stuck on every little bump and the thought of running with it would be a joke. The running moms on Town Lake make these BOB strollers look so kickass. And if upon purchase this BOB company could throw in this lady's abs (see photo), then I would spend that $350-500 faster than you can say "lose the baby weight".
Happy get rid of the junk weekend
So what is everyone up to this weekend?
Our weekend? Well, it should be interesting.
We are having a very unglamorous, but much needed, garage sale. My parents and brother are joining us in our attempt to unload our clutter. I have a love/hate relationship with garage sales. I love getting rid of all our junk. I hate the whole "6am let's start negotiating 25 cents before I have even had my coffee" scene.
But there is hope for afterwards. On Sunday morning, we have a date for brunch with a cinnamon bun the size of my face. Is it sad that thoughts of a cinnamon bun will get me through a crazy Saturday garage sale? Yes, but so true.
Loving this weather
Today was such a gorgeous day in Austin. And this weekend is supposed to be more of the same. Spring is the best here. It makes me wish that we could have recess still.
Organizational Inspiration
I came across this image via Design Sponge and it just called to me. It is a funny concept when organization is your inspiration. The goal of simplicity becomes beautiful. I wish my pantry looked like this, all organized and such. It is like my mind is telling me, "If you get your pantry organized, your life can be too."
Cardboard Love
Have you seen this site - Cardboard Love? It is so simple that it is genius. Plus it just makes me smile.
Bluebonnets are here
This past weekend, I saw the first few bluebonnets starting to peak through. Bluebonnets are one of my favorite things about living in Texas. They are the sign that spring has officially sprung.
All grown up
My baby girl is 6 months today! It is crazy to think that she has been in our lives half a year. It is like she has always been here. And she is becoming this beautiful little person who is strong, sweet, and playful with a streak of stubborn thrown in just to keep it interesting.
Plus she is so deliciously fat you just can't help but want to pinch her! Look at those healthy elbows and cheeks!
Feeling off
Do you sometimes ever feel just a bit off? That is how I have been for the last week. Little B is going through a weird sleeping phase where she is waking up a lot at night. I am exhausted and feeling a bit disheveled. But I am still in good spirits. Good spirits plus exhaustion equals ridiculous silly moments. Like when I brought a pad of post-it notes instead of keys to start my car - I laughed. And when I drove all the way to work, but left my computer at home - I shrugged my shoulders and laughed. And when I used salt instead of sugar in my coffee. That actually did not make me laugh, but my coworkers sure did.
I sure hope I can get some sleep before I find that these antics are no longer funny.

Rainbow Chard
David and I have made a commitment to ourselves to have a kickass garden this summer. To try to grow as many of the vegetables that we eat. One of our 1st plants to go the ground - rainbow chard. And wow, has it taken off. I am now coming to the realization that I have to figure out what the heck to do with all this chard. Any suggestions?
No more rush hour!
One of the things that I love about my new job is the commute... or really a lack of a commute. My job is so close to my house that I could ride my bike or even walk. I never realized how much of my day was sucked up by my previous commutes. I am so appreciative that I spend less time in my car and more time hanging with David and Little B.

Sunshine Cleaning
We recently watched Sunshine Cleaning and it was great. Emily Blunt and Amy Adams play sisters who have both hit a rough patch
in their lives and are in need of some serious money. They come upon
an opportunity to open a business that cleans up after crime scenes. I think it is by the same people that did Little Miss Sunshine. It has that same sort of feel to it.
Pop of green
I love the idea of painting a room in my house in a clover green color. But when it comes to green, it can be tricky. It seems that while some rooms can look amazing with a pop of green, others can look sickly. I have not figured out the trick.

Butterfly Warrior
Beautiful poem from my friend, Jessica, over at Literaria.
I may look small
I may look sweet
but don't mistake me
Don't underestimate me
I know who I am
and who I'm not
I love these goggles
I wear them a lot
They laugh at me
but I don't care
They knock me down
and pull my hair
But I get back up
I always will
Mom and Daddy told me
I can rule the world
I'm a superhero
In flowers and curls
I'm a butterfly warrior
I'm a little girl
I may look sweet
but don't mistake me
Don't underestimate me
I know who I am
and who I'm not
I love these goggles
I wear them a lot
They laugh at me
but I don't care
They knock me down
and pull my hair
But I get back up
I always will
Mom and Daddy told me
I can rule the world
I'm a superhero
In flowers and curls
I'm a butterfly warrior
I'm a little girl

Skylight in the bathroom
This bathroom featured on Apartment Therapy is awesome. I wish my bathroom had this much natural light.
Mommy & Baby Yoga
A couple days ago, Little B and I went to our first Baby & Mommy yoga class at Yoga Yoga. It was so much fun. Little B had been on nap strike that day, so I was a little nervous. But she thoroughly enjoyed it and made sure everyone knew it by squealing loudly and gurgling at all the other babies. I am sure we will be going back very soon.
Anne of Green Gables
Do you have a movie that is your go-to movie for whenever the world is a bit too rough? That movie that never fails to cheer you up and allows you to believe in good again. Mine is Anne of Green Gables. The first time I watched this old PBS mini series, I was in my early teens. And yet even as I now watch it in my 30s, it still gives me that wave of much-needed optimism.
So what other movies are out there that fall into this category? What are your cheer-up movies?

Big plans for this year's garden
So this weekend, I got a head start on my little vegetable garden. Hopefully in a few months, we will have more vegetables than we know what to do with. I may have over done it with kale, lettuce, butternut squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, swiss chard, snap peas and lots of peppers. And that does not even include the herbs. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this summer's weather will make up for the horribleness from the last two summers.
Dreaming of summer
I am dreaming of summer. I am ready for backyard BBQs, margaritas, tomatoes from the garden, and hanging out at the lake.

Pretty little package
Isn't this the cutest little package? I would love to get a gift that looks like this. I may have to steal this idea in the future.

Oh glorious weekend
This week has been a doozy. All good things, but I am exhausted and in much need of a mix of relaxing and fun. So plans for this weekend include sleeping in (pretty please, Little B), going to the Farmers Market, a nephew's birthday party, a bit of gardening, and of course the Oscars. What are yall up to?
Sorry for the hiatus
Hello lovely readers! Sorry for the hiatus. It has been a crazy week to say the least. But I am back now. So no worries. Happy blogging.
